Event Notes: DLV To Host Long Jump Competition In The Heart Of Nuremberg

The German Athletics Association (DLV) will move the long jump competition out of the Grundig stadium and into the city center during the 2015 German Athletics Championships. The competition will take place at the Hauptmarkt in the heart of Nuremberg on July 24. The clubers.net-Arena will have a capacity of 4,000 seats. Admission is free and the stands will be filled on first come, first serve basis (DLV). ... Dakar Rally Dir Etienne Lavigne "cannot answer right now" whether the race will be run in Argentina in '16. Lavigne: "I am incapable of defining how the Dakar will be next year." This is unlike "other years, when the question was about where in Argentina the race would take place." The uncertainty is greater "because of a political change that will come with the country's national elections" (CLARIN, 1/18).
