Sportswear manufactuer Erima Austria has added FRITZ CSARMANN to its sales team. The former professional football player started his new job at beginning of the year. Prior to joining Erima Austria, Csarmann worked for rival company adidas (Erima Austria). ... Hospitality provider Centerplate named ERIC WOODEN senior VP of hospitality solutions. Wooden has been with Centerplate since '89. Centerplate announced the integration of the practice teams, handling facility design and construction, capital project planning, equipment procurement and strategic consulting into a single, comprehensive division -- the Hospitality Solutions Group. The company has also hired former RevEquip COO DENNIS MARTINEZ to be the company’s facility design director. He has more than 20 years of experience in foodservice design and consulting, with int'l experience in design (Centerplate). ... Sky has promoted Sky Deutschland Exec VP of Programming GARY DAVEY "to an expanded role as managing director, content, with the additional responsibility for the company's entertainment, film and news channels in the U.K. and Ireland." He "will combine the new role with his existing responsibilities, splitting his time between London and Munich." The move comes after last year's departure of SOPHIE TURNER LAING as the top programming exec "at what back then was BSkyB before it acquired Sky Deutschland and Sky Italia" (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 1/12). ... Octagon has named SEBASTIAN SMITH exec VP. Smith will be responsible for driving the growth of Octagon in Europe, leading pan-regional strategy initiatives and supporting the agency's multi-market clients. Smith will be focused on further developing Octagon's marketing practice across the region, while providing senior-level strategic support for Octagon clients including MasterCard, Aeroflot, AB InBev and Sony. Smith joins Octagon after a short period as a partner at Redmandarin (Octagon). ... Qatar Weightlifting Federation President MOHAMED YOUSEF AL MANA has been re-elected as president of the Asian Weightlifting Federation "for another four year term." The election of the Qatari was an "unanimous one." Iraq’s MOHAMMED JALOUD replaced ALI MORADI as AWF general secretary while Uzbekistan’s MAKHMUDOV SHAKHRILLO, China’s QIAN GUANGJIAN, Saudi Arabia’s AL JISHI SALMAN, South Korea’s CHOI SUNG-YONG, Yemen’s ABDULLAH JARMAL and Kazakhstan’s KAIRAT TURLYKHANOV were elected VPs (THE PENINSULA, 1/13).
