Marketplace Roundup: Hamburg Freezers Extend Kit Deal With Hummel Through '17-18

German Hockey League (DEL) club Hamburg Freezers has extended its kit deal with hummel for another three years until the end of the '17-18 season. Hummel has been the club's official kit supplier since '12 (Hamburg Freezers). ... DEL side Dusseldorf EG "signed a new shirt sponsorship deal with utility company Stadtwerke Dusseldorf." The company's logo "will be featured on the shoulders and back of the home jersey." The sponsorship deal "has a reported value in the five-digit euro range and includes a bonus should the team qualify for the playoffs" (EXPRESS, 11/27). Handball Bundesliga (HBL) side HSV Hamburg agreed to a new partnership with Deutsche Bahn. The two sides are working on a long-term deal beyond the initial duration of one year (HSV Hamburg). ... State-owned brewery Rothaus is reportedly "considering financially supporting the construction of the new football stadium in Freiburg, Germany." In return for its financial contribution, it is expected that the brewery "will receive the naming rights to the stadium" (SWR, 11/25). ... The Asian Football Development Project has appointed Libero Sports to support its programming and partnerships within India. Libero Sports will primarily focus on working with key stakeholders to create stronger CSR and grassroots platforms for the Indian football industry (Libero Sports). ... Honda Motor Corp. -- in continued collaboration with Spanish company ExternPro -- will remain the official Moto2 engine supplier for the the next three years through '18 (PA, 11/27). ... EPL side West Ham announced a new partnership with ICU Label, the club's own official record label. To enhance the matchday experience, ICU artist Harper will perform live throughout the season at Boleyn Ground (West Ham). ... Asian Football Confederation sponsor Toyota, which has sponsored AFC national team tournaments since '12, has become an official AFC partner. Toyota will also sponsor AFC club tournaments including the AFC Champions League, the AFC Cup and the AFC Futsal Championship (Toyota).
