Tennis Player Novak Djokovic Teams Up With Wine Brand Jacob's Creek In New Campaign

Wine brand Jacob's Creek has teamed up with world No. 1 tennis player Novak Djokovic as part of a "global campaign set to launch" on Jan. 13, according to John Glenday of THE DRUM. Djokovic stars in a series of "Made By" short films in which he "celebrates the people, places and passions which have served him well on his path to success." Jacob's Creek "previously employed Andre Agassi to front its Open Film series" (THE DRUM, 12/1). THE ADVERTISER's Valerina Changarathil reported the "documentary series celebrating the people, places and passion that have made Djokovic, is the first time the world will hear his story in his own words." Directed by U.S. filmmaker Keith "Keef" Ehrlich, the series takes viewers "back to the beginning of Novak's journey, to the dedication of first coach Jelena Gencic and his grand slam wins at the Australian Open and Wimbledon." The short film series is to released on Jan. 13 (THE ADVERTISER, 12/2). In London, Emily Crane reported Djokovic is set to "reveal never before told stories." In a trailer for the film released on Monday, he said, "The biggest fight I had in my life was actually the fight within." The partnership with Djokovic is "part of the Jacob's Creek global tennis sponsorship platform, which includes the Australian Open, Wimbledon and the China Open" (DAILY MAIL, 12/1).
