French TV broadcaster Canal+ recorded 2.64 million viewers and had an audience share of 44.2% on Saturday night for its broadcast of the “Classico” match between Ligue 1 sides Paris St. Germain and Marseille, according to L’EQUIPE.  While the number of viewers on Saturday night “nearly matched” the 2.83 million viewers for the last “Classico” match in Feb. '13, this “was the best audience share recorded for a ‘Classico’ match since 2000.” The match also “allowed televised sports programs to achieve very good ratings” on Sunday. French TV broadcaster TF1’s football program Téléfoot had its “best performance of the season” with 1.5 million viewers and an audience share of 17.6%. Canal+’s football highlights show Canal Football Club recorded 2.21 million viewers and had an audience share of 8.2%, which was "its second best audience since its inception in ’08” (L’EQUIPE, 11/10).
