Marketplace Roundup: Puma Renews Partnership With BMW Motorsport

Puma renewed its partnership with BMW Motorsport "in a deal which will see Puma remain official supplier of team and racewear for all BMW Motorsport racing operations." The deal has also seen Puma "renew its relationship with BMW Motorsport" as the official license partner for footwear, apparel and accessories for BMW Motorsport and BMW M. Puma branding "will be prominent on all BMW Motorsport racing cars and all race and teamwear for BMW Motorsport technical staff and drivers" (THE DRUM, 10/2). ... William Hill "agreed to become the official betting partner for four Premier League clubs" following separate deals brokered by sports marketing agency Sportfive. The deal "covers Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Southampton and Swansea City" for the '14-15 season (THE DRUM, 10/6). ... Scottish Women's Premier League side Glasgow City celebrated its eighth consecutive SWPL title with the announcement of a new sponsorship deal with EG Chauffeur Hire. In the first deal of its kind in Scotland, EG Chauffeur Hire has partnered with the Scottish Champions as its official car sponsor, with the initial agreement in place for 12 months (Glasgow City). ... Retailer Retro GP announced it has signed three new license agreements. Former F1 drivers Gilles Villeneuve, Emerson Fittipaldi and Mario Andretti have been added to Retro's existing deals with defunct F1 team Minardi, F1 journalist Murray Walker and Hesketh Racing (Retro GP).
