Franchise Notes: National Basketball League Club Melbourne United Completes Rebranding

National Basketball League club Melbourne United has "completed its rebranding with the release of its navy blue and white singlets for the new NBL season." Melbourne CEO Vince Crivelli said the club, which rebranded from the Melbourne Tigers colors and name early this year, "wanted something simple but striking for its new uniforms." Crivelli: "We wanted it to be simple, clean and bold" (THE AGE, 9/11). ... Second Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig and ticketing service CTS Eventim "have announced a new partnership." The club's season ticket holders will "now be able to resell tickets if they are unable to attend a game." These tickets will "then be passed on to other fans for a fixed price plus a handling fee" (SOCCEREX, 9/11). ... New South Wales Cup side Newtown Jets "have officially become the feeder club" for National Rugby League side Cronulla in "rugby league's latest joint venture." The three-year agreement "will result in the Cronulla NSW Cup team playing under Newtown's name, jersey and colours predominantly out of Henson Park." The development comes after the Sydney Roosters "opted to end their nine-season association with the Jets this year" (SYDNEY MORNING HERALD, 9/10).
