Marketplace Roundup: Nike Extends Sponsorship Of Dutch FA Until At Least 2026

Nike "will supply the orange shirts worn by the Dutch football team until at least 2026 after agreeing to extend their long-running sponsorship agreement." Nike has sponsored Dutch football since '96, "one of its first major deals in the sport." Nike Football VP Dermott Cleary said, "The Dutch FA was one of Nike's first major football sponsorships and has been instrumental in helping us on our journey to become the world's most innovative and leading football brand" (REUTERS, 6/20). ... German fourth-tier football club Würzburg Kickers has signed a shirt sponsorship deal with Sylt-based restaurant Sansibar. The deal is for the upcoming season. The two parties did not release any contract details (Würzburg Kickers). ... League Championship side Derby County has confirmed Umbro as its new official kit supplier. Umbro takes over from Italian company Kappa and "will produce all of the Rams' matchday and training gear as part of a four-year deal." New home, away and third strips, which will carry the logo of the new main shirt sponsor JUST EAT, are to be revealed shortly (DERBY TELEGRAPH, 6/20).
