Football Notes: FIFA Recognizes Commitment Of Borussia Dortmund In Racism Fight

FIFA "has honored the commitment of Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in the fight against racism." FIFA VP Jeffrey Webb said in a letter to the club that Borussia Dortmund "leads the way with good example." In addition, the CONCACAF president "hails the club's clear position on the issue." He said, "Thank you very much for spreading this great message and the clear statement against discrimination in Germany." The club recently released a video against racism in football (SID, 6/10). ... Leicester City "have officially been welcomed to the Premier League." Leicester City and fellow promoted clubs Burnley and Queens Park Rangers "were formally confirmed at the Premier League AGM" (LEICESTER MERCURY, 6/7).
