Aston Villa, Swansea Put Cap On Away Ticket Prices For Club's Two Matches This Season

EPL side Aston Villa has "struck a deal with Swansea to put a ceiling on away ticket prices for the two Premier League clashes between the clubs this season," according to Mat Kendrick of the BIRMINGHAM MAIL. Tickets for both sets of traveling fans "will be priced" at £25 ($40) for adults and £10 ($16) for concessions for the games on Dec. 28 at Villa Park and on April 26 at the Liberty Stadium. Villa has "confirmed comparable home seating will be priced at a similarly favourable reduced rate to boost home attendance." This initiative "is in conjunction with overall efforts being made by the Premier League to make games more affordable for away fans." Villa has also pledged to use a portion of its £200,000 ($323,300) contribution "to subsidise travel to 10 Premier League away matches" (BIRMINGHAM MAIL, 10/23).
