German department store chain Karstadt CEO ANDREW JENNINGS is stepping down at the end of the year. The chain also has 28 speciality sports stores (ISPO).

COACHES/MANAGERS:
Portuguese side FC Porto said PAULO FONSECA "is to take over as the northern Portuguese club's coach for the next two seasons." Fonseca will sign a contract taking over from VITOR PEREIRA, who coached Porto since '11 (AP, 6/10). ... The Paraguayan FA said on Monday that the Paraguay national football team coach GERARDO PELUSSO "has left his job with the team virtually out of the running" for the 2014 World Cup (REUTERS, 6/10). ... La Liga Real Sociedad has hired JAGOBA ARRASATE as its new coach after he spent last season as an assistant. Arrasate played for Sociedad as a youth and returned to coach its youth teams in '10 before joining the coaching staff (AP, 6/7). ... League One side Sheffield United has appointed Everton coach DAVID WEIR "as its new manager on a three-year deal." The 43-year-old will succeed DANNY WILSON at Bramall Lane (BBC, 6/10). ... Spanish second division side Mallorca has turned to former Deportivo La Coruña coach JOSE LUIS OLTRA as its next coach. Oltra, who was sacked by Deportivo in January "just six months after leading them back into La Liga," replaces GREGORIO MANZANO, "who was not handed a new contract last week" (FOOTBALL ESPANA, 6/10).
