Louisville Rout Draws School Record Crowd To Papa John's Stadium

Louisville football routed Florida State 63-20 yesterday "in front of a U of L-record 55,632 fans" at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium (Louisville COURIER-JOURNAL, 9/18). Miami defeated Appalachian State 45-10 at Kidd Brewer Stadium before a "record crowd of 34,658" (MIAMI HERALD, 9/18). East Tennessee State and Western Carolina played before a crowd of 13,863 at Bristol Motor Speedway, with ETSU pulling out a 34-31 victory (JOHNSON CITY PRESS, 9/18).

ESPN "College GameDay" producer Lee Fitting this morning confirmed that the show will head to Knoxville, Tenn., next Saturday for Florida-Tennessee (TWITTER.com, 9/18). Meanwhile, Patriots QB Tom Brady yesterday served as Michigan's honorary captain for the school's home game against Colorado (BOSTONGLOBE.com, 9/18).
