Flyers Provide Moving Pregame Tribute To Team Chair Ed Snider

The Flyers last night clinched a playoff spot with a win over the Penguins, and in a "moving pregame tribute" to ill team Chair Ed Snider, Flyers National Anthem singer Lauren Hart "face-timed her rendition" of "God Bless America" to him. Flyers COO Shawn Tilger said, "It was her idea; it was just one of those things that came from the heart." Flyers players "talked in revered tones about Snider and how he had provided the inspiration" for this season. Flyers G Steve Mason said of Snider, who lives in California, "He's the face of this franchise. Even though he hasn't been around, he hasn't been forgotten, that's for sure.
