"I own a very, very small percentage of this franchise. My mother is still the co-owner and reminds me all the time that she owns the franchise and I'm just an employee who can be replaced" -- Giants President & CEO John Mara, on being referred to as co-owner (NEWSDAY, 11/23).

"I've said enough about the Lakers. Let's just say that when you say something bad about the Lakers, you get a ton of Twitter threats, so it's just not worth it. There is just more Twitter courage in Southern California than probably any other part of the world" -- Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban, when asked about the Lakers and their fan base (ESPN.com, 11/25).

"I've basically got a set of irons, if not the woods sorted. It's just a matter of getting the ball dialed in and I'm good" -- Golfer Rory McIlroy, on testing his new equipment, as he is rumored to be signing a new deal with Nike (GOLFCHANNEL.com, 11/22).

"I respect all of our players greatly and I can't wait to see them get back on the ice together. But out of respect for them, and I think they have the same respect for me, we just keep our distance for now" -- Canadiens President & CEO Geoff Molson, on the interaction, or lack thereof, with his players during the NHL lockout (Montreal GAZETTE, 11/22).

"Coach you look marvelous. Feeling good?” ESPN’s Chris Berman, on Mike Ditka’s return to the set (“Sunday NFL Countdown,” ESPN, 11/25).

"I'm very lucky but, wake up calls, you know?” -- Ditka's response (“Sunday NFL Countdown,” ESPN, 11/25).
