The AFL completed the sale of the Chicago Rush to a new ownership group led by Testarossa Entertainment President & CEO Julee White (AFL). News of the deal was first reported by CRAIN'S CHICAGO BUSINESS.

South Africa's government Friday revealed it had "spent more" than $3B on the '10 World Cup, and in return "gained an 'intangible legacy' from the first world soccer showpiece in Africa" (AP, 11/23).

Three of today's NFL games are "blacked out in their local TV markets." Those games are the Ravens-Chargers, Falcons-Bucs and Raiders-Bengals (PRO FOOTBALL TALK, 11/23).

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the NFL "is unlikely to challenge, or change, the [coach Jim] Schwartz challenge replay rule that helped cost the Lions a game on Thanksgiving Day." Schefter: "The league will consider and is likely to change it during the offseason but not in-season” (“Sunday NFL Countdown,” ESPN, 11/25).

A few hours before kickoff of the Florida-Florida State game Saturday, a group of Florida State officials and boosters broke ground on a $15M indoor practice facility (TALLAHASSEE DEMOCRAT, 11/24).
