Auditor Finds U.S. Bank Stadium Authority's Use Of Suites Unethical

A "special nonpartisan report" released yesterday found "ethical violations by the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority in its use of two luxury suites at U.S. Bank Stadium." The 100-page review by the state's legislative auditor also "generated a testy four-hour House-Senate committee meeting as well as a sharp defense of the agency" by Gov. Mark Dayton. Auditor James Nobles found the MSFA had "violated state law by not keeping records about who had been in the 18-person suites since the building opened on Aug. 3" (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 2/8). The audit "recommended that legislators change the law to limit" the MSFA's "use of complimentary tickets" (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 2/8).
