Big Ten Network and Riot Games today will announce a "League of Legends" competition featuring 12 Big Ten teams, with the winner advancing to Riot’s national collegiate "LoL" tournament. This is Riot's first deal with a national collegiate network. All matches will be streamed on BTN2Go and watch.lolesports.com, but there will be “some linear broadcasts,” said Riot Associate Esports Manager of Collegiate Michael Sherman. The winner of the Big Ten competition will participate in the eight-team national college championship tournament, which will otherwise be seeded by the four regional champions of Riots' collegiate tournaments and three wild-card teams.
