Twitter Enlists BAM Tech To Assist With "TNF" Streaming

Twitter has tapped BAM Tech to "help stream" its $10M package of NFL games this season. Sources said that the deal "assures Twitter that it will have the help" to air 10 NFL "Thursday Night Football" games. A source said that Twitter "will use its own technology to monetize local ad spots for the games." It "intends to use its own player and dynamic ad insertion to show different ads to users based on Twitter targeting data" (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 8/31).

Meanwhile, Twitter tomorrow will "broadcast the Utah State-Weber State game via free live stream." It will be "one of two games streamed" this week as Abilene Christian-Air Force will also be offered on Saturday. Utah State-Weber State "will be simulcast via the Mountain West Network online." The Twitter broadcast "will be free for all users and does not require a subscription" (CBSSPORTS.com, 8/30).
