Rams Headed To L.A. After NFL Owners Approve Relocation Bid

NFL owners last night voted 30-2 to allow the Rams to move to L.A., with the team expected to play for the next three seasons at L.A. Coliseum. The Chargers have an option for one year to decide whether to join the now L.A. Rams in their planned new stadium in Inglewood. If the Chargers decline, the Raiders can then relocate to Inglewood. A source close to the Chargers said USC had agreed to allow two NFL teams play in the Coliseum though '18.

The rejection of the Carson project proposed by the Raiders and Chargers came as a surprise after the NFL's six-owner L.A. committee recommended it yesterday. But clearly, the dire stadium situations the Raiders and Chargers face paled next to the $2.7B stadium Rams Owner Stan Kroenke is planning.
