News of the Rams' relocation received light coverage on today’s network morning shows. None of the three shows teased the story in their openings or aired any live reports from an on-site correspondent, instead only running short news segments. ABC, CBS and NBC all aired Rams clips within the first 30 minutes of their broadcasts. Reports on Iran releasing captured U.S. sailors, President Obama’s State of the Union address and arctic weather hitting the U.S. ran before the NFL report (THE DAILY). NBC’s Savannah Guthrie said of the multiple potential relocation scenarios, “You should have diagrammed that. How does it work?” (“Today,” NBC, 1/13).
