MLB Ramps Up National TV Appearances To Promote World Series

MLB has scheduled a variety of national TV appearances to promote the start of the World Series, as has been custom in recent years. MTV is in K.C. filming the season-ending episode of “Off The Bat.” Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live” on Bravo will have a World Series segment, as will fellow cable channels CNN, Fox News and the Weather Channel. MLB is also intensifying its World Series-related programming with longtime partner ESPN. Former Royals P Mark Gubicza will be in Bristol for the traditional ESPN “carwash,” potentially followed on Friday by former Giants P Dave Dravecky. Yankees 1B Mark Teixeira will co-host “Mike & Mike” tomorrow in advance of Game 2. “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” is also a planning a World Series segment for later this week in which it will do a surprise giveaway of tickets to one of the games in S.F.
