Night Moves....Red Devils In The Details

The 2:00am ET edition of ESPN's led with three MLB game highlights, followed by the Browns naming QB Brian Hoyer the starter and NFL news and notes. ESPN reported on Tony Stewart not racing this weekend in Bristol 25 minutes into the broadcast. The 2:00am ET edition of FS1's "Fox Sports Live" led with four MLB reports, followed by Hoyer being named the starter and NFL news and notes. FS1 did not report on Stewart, but their telecast included other NASCAR-related news.

ESPN's Keith Olbermann called out his "world's worst" persons in sports: A Bulgarian man for winning a "15-year legal battle in his home country to legally change his name" to include Manchester United. Olbermann also criticized the Cubs grounds crew, who "for the second time this season" couldn't get the "tarp on the field in time" during rain delays, and the Univ. of South Florida for wanting to remove players names from the backs of football jerseys and replacing them with "The Team," which violates NCAA rules.
