Jerry Jones Bought Cowboys 25 Years Ago Today For $140M

Today marks the 25th anniversary of Jerry Jones buying the Cowboys, and many of his memories "revolve around the stressful days" leading up to his $140M purchase of the franchise. Jones said, "It was quite a trying time for me. I get emotional talking about it, and I've asked a professional about why I get emotional talking about it – in public or private – and they said, 'Well, that was a traumatic time for you'" (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 2/25).

Dallas-area sports talk station KTCK-FM/AM during its 5:30-10:00am CT programming block will "look back" at the anniversary. Guests will include Ivan Maisel, "who broke the story" for the Dallas Morning News, current Dallas Morning News journalist David Moore and Cowboys HOFer Randy White (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 2/25).
