Falcons Owner Arthur Blank today will “hold his end-of-season press conference” in Atlanta (ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION, 1/6).

Arizona State President Michael Crow in an e-mail said the school “should have some candidates that we are focused on shortly” in its search for a new AD to replace Steve Patterson, who took the job at Texas in November (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 1/6).

Hockey Canada today will “have a final meeting” in Toronto before it reveals the country’s Olympic team tomorrow (BOSTON GLOBE, 1/5).

Two workshops are scheduled for this month to “publicly explain ongoing stadium-lease negotiations with the Angels.” The meetings are set for Jan. 14 and 30 at the Anaheim Convention Center (ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER, 1/4).
