MLB Allows Staffers To Leave Detroit Early Due To Hurricane
Published October 29, 2012
MLB last night began permitting some of the more 250 staffers from its N.Y. HQs on site in Detroit to return home due to Hurricane Sandy, even before the Giants completed their World Series sweep of the Tigers. At least 25 staffers were allowed to leave, and MLB arranged several car pools for staffers to make the 600-mile drive last night from Detroit to N.Y. Staffers staying in Detroit will be allowed to retain their hotel rooms until after the storm passes.
