Minnesota Gov. Dayton Holding Meetings On Vikings Stadium Plans

Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton plans to meet separately today with Vikings Owner Zygi Wilf, other team investors and Ramsey County officials "still hoping the project will be built on the former Army munitions site in Arden Hills." Dayton also will meet with "backers of a plan to open a downtown Minneapolis casino," as some tax proceeds from the casino "could be funneled to stadium construction." This comes after NFL Exec VP/Business Operations Eric Grubman "suggested" that if state lawmakers "don't come up with money for a Vikings stadium, the team could leave Minnesota" (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 10/19).
