ESPN's Jalen Rose "has been released" from a jail in the Detroit suburb of Pontiac "after serving time for drunken driving." Rose was released early this morning after 16 days behind bars (AP, 8/18).

Andretti Autosport has reached a deal for Buffalo Wild Wings to serve as the primary sponsor of the No. 27 Izod IndyCar Series car driven by Mike Conway in the inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix on Sept. 4. The restaurant chain also will be an associate sponsor of the car "for the remaining events in 2011" (PADDOCKTALK.com, 8/17).

Thailand-based soft drink company Aje Group has signed one-year sponsorship contracts with EPL clubs Everton, Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion and Wigan Athletic in a deal worth US$10M (JUST-DRINKS.com, 8/16).

Golfer Ryo Ishikawa has "taken special temporary member status on the PGA Tour for the remainder of 2011." Ishikawa can "now take unlimited sponsor exemptions," as his earnings this year "gave him more than the 150th finisher on the 2010 money list" (ESPN.com, 8/17).
