The NCAA yesterday announced that "college or conference affiliated networks can’t air high school games," a ruling that "would seem favorable to Big 12 schools that openly opposed" the Univ. of Texas' Longhorn Network (K.C. STAR, 8/12).

LOCOG has "signed up Heathrow airport as the 42nd domestic sponsor" of the '12 London Olympics. The tier-three sponsorship costs about $16.3M (AP, 8/12).

The Ohio Valley Conference and IMG, the conference's multimedia rights partner, have announced that the conference has agreed to a sponsorship deal with college sports streaming site Lateral Sports (Ohio Valley Conference).

The Louisiana state Office of Motor Vehicles said that as of yesterday, 12,745 Saints Super Bowl license plates had been sold. The plates went on sale Dec. 1 (NOLA.com, 8/11).
