Aspen Institute's Sports & Society Program Holding Youth Sports Summit

The Aspen Institute is holding a day-long session at its DC HQs titled, "Sport for All, Play for Life – A Sports & Society Roundtable." The event will feature some "heavy hitters talking about the youth sports landscape," such as USOC CEO Scott Blackmun, Little League Int'l President & CEO Stephen Keener, USA Today columnist Christine Brennan and Robin Schepper, the Exec Dir of the White House's "Let's Move" anti-obesity campaign. The discussion is the "first scheduled for Aspen's new Sports & Society program, whose formation was announced May 2" (FORBES.com, 5/11).

The session is closed to the public, but the Institute's website will live stream a moderated conversation with Blackmun at 11:40am ET (Aspen Institute).
