NBA Reps Look To Determine Extent Of Financial Support For Kings

NBA execs will meet today with supporters of the Kings as the league continues its fact-finding mission in Sacramento. NBA Exec VP/Team Marketing & Business Operations Chris Granger and other league staff are in Sacramento this week to determine local financial support for the franchise that has until May 2 to file a relocation bid to Anaheim. Local business leaders have reportedly pledged at least $7M in financial support for the team since the relocation deadline was extended earlier this month to May 2.

The NBA team marketing and business operation staff visit to Sacramento follows last week’s meetings between city officials and Thunder Owner Clay Bennett, Chair of the NBA relocation committee, and NBA Exec Counsel Harvey Benjamin.
