We've got to start training our kids like that. Can your kids paint with their feet and be human drums and fly around stadiums?" ("The Colbert Report," Comedy Central, 1/25).

MONOLOGUES:

CBS' "Late Show" is airing reruns all week.

NBC's Jay Leno: "President Obama started out his State of the Union address tonight with some happy news. It turns out he is Oprah's half brother. ... He is such a good speaker and you could see tonight he was trying to appeal to his base: You know, young, tech-savvy young people, like you notice he's now calling it not the State of the Union, it's the status update of the union address. ... Before the speech the Republicans gave a prebuttal. Not a rebuttal, a prebuttal. Doesn't that sound like something every man over 50 should get once a year? ... A survey of all 96 freshmen members of the U.S. House of Representatives has found at least 21 of them are sleeping in their office. They sleep in their office. The other 75 are already in bed with the oil companies and the tobacco lobbyists. ... On my way to work today, I drove by another homeless guy with a great voice looking for a job: Keith Olbermann. Well, in a move that stunned the TV industry, Keith Olbermann has been let go from MSNBC and listen to this. There's a clause in his contract that states he cannot return to TV for six months. But industry insiders say he could probably work on CNN without anybody noticing. ... Keith Olbermann's critics say he got in trouble for being controversial, arrogant and self-righteous. God, too bad he's liberal. He would have been perfect for Fox News. ... Two members of a Guadalajara band were shot and killed by audience members after they suddenly stopped playing. They stopped playing, and were shot and killed. It's a good thing Jay Cutler doesn't live there. You excited about the Super Bowl? I just want you to know, even though Green Bay is the favorite, Pittsburgh looks tough to beat in the Super Bowl. In fact, the only thing that's been able to stop Ben Roethlisberger so far, I guess, is a restraining order. ... Hong Kong custom officials have seized $33 million worth of cocaine that was headed to mainland China, $33 million worth of coke. Well, you thought those kids were cranking out Nikes fast before" ("The Tonight Show," NBC, 1/25).
