Stadium To Put Nearly 50 College Basketball Games Exclusively On Facebook

Multiplatform sports network Stadium has struck a deal with Facebook to show a season-long slate of 47 college basketball games exclusively on the social media platform. The games involve teams from the Atlantic 10, Mountain West and West Coast Conferences, and along with games for Conference USA expands upon a set of 15 college football games Stadium is airing this fall on Facebook. Thirteen of those football games have been played so far, generating nearly 10 million total views and more than 70,000 real-time user comments. The Stadium broadcasts on Facebook will include customized production elements such as broadcasters responding to fan posts and comments during games. The basketball slate begins with tonight's Belmont-Middle Tennessee State game. Eleven teams from last season's NCAA tournament will be featured on the schedule. The live games will additionally be supplemented by a weekly studio show, “Live: Stadium College Basketball,” airing Wednesday evenings beginning Nov. 29. and hosted by Dave Ross and Tim Doyle.
