FuboTV said that it has "forged a deal" with the NHL Kings, marking the OTT service's "first sponsorship with a pro sports franchise." MULTICHANNEL NEWS' Jeff Baumgartner noted under the deal, FuboTV is the "presenting sponsor of the team's online schedule, already live on desktop and mobile browsers." A "Watch Now" button will tell fans "where they can stream Kings games on fuboTV" via FS West. Additionally, Kings season ticket holders are "also in line for special offers for the fuboTV service" (MULTICHANNEL.com, 10/6).

OUT OF THE LIMELIGHT: In N.Y., James Wagner noted Nationals 3B Anthony Rendon wears Under Armour, but unlike Nationals RF Bryce Harper, who is the company's lead baseball pitchman, Rendon is "nowhere to be found on its advertisements." Rendon said, "They know better than to ask me." He added that he has "declined invitations to visit" the company's Baltimore HQ (N.Y. TIMES, 10/8).

COLOR WAR: In Daytona, Ken Willis wrote changing paint schemes, based on race-to-race sponsorship deals, has "become a sign of the times" for NASCAR. Willis: "It's among the most underrated issues hurting NASCAR today." When fans "can't turn on the color television and immediately find" Dale Earnhardt Jr. or Jimmie Johnson due to some "whimsical change in car colors, it's a problem" (Daytona Beach NEWS-JOURNAL, 10/8).
