Audience Analysis: Xfinity Series Rises On FS1; Honda Classic Lower Up Against Daytona 500

FS1 drew 2.25 million viewers for the season-opening NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona last Saturday, up from 2.12 million viewers last year, but down from 2.94 million for FS1’s first telecast of the race in ’15. When ESPN last aired the race in ’14, it drew 2.74 million viewers.

RICKIE-TIKKI-TAVI: NBC last Sunday drew 2.76 million viewers for the final round of the PGA Tour Honda Classic, which saw Rickie Fowler win the event by four strokes. Last year’s final round, which did not go head-to-head with the Daytona 500 and saw Adam Scott defeat Sergio Garcia by one stroke, drew 3.19 million viewers. The event in ’15 had a Monday finish due to weather.
