D'Alba Leaving As WME-IMG Global Sales President At End Of Year, Will Be Consultant

GREG D'ALBA's run as WME-IMG President of Global Sales & Marketing will come to an end at the close of the year. WME-IMG Chief Content Officer MARK SHAPIRO informed the staff on Thursday that D’Alba will leave to pursue personal and philanthropic opportunities. D’Alba will stay on for '17 as an advisor to the Global Partnerships team. He joined WME-IMG in June '14 to build a global partnerships division, the first global integrated sales and marketing team at the agency. “I am extremely proud of the team we’ve assembled and all we’ve accomplished here,” D’Alba said. “I believe WME-IMG is blazing a new trail for the industry and I could not be more excited to watch the trajectory of this amazing company moving forward. I look forward to staying connected as an advisor and playing a part in that evolution.” D’Alba joined WME-IMG from Turner, where he served as President of CNN News Networks and Digital Ad Sales. Shapiro in an email noted that D’Alba built a team that spans brand strategy and activation, sponsorships and endorsements, experiential marketing, creative and design, public relations and naming rights. Shapiro wrote, “I’m proud of what Greg has accomplished and the team he has built. I’d personally like to thank Greg for his vision and commitment.”
