The Clippers will soon unveil a private members' club at Staples Center for the upcoming season that will be exclusively available to season-ticket holders. The Season Ticket Club will offer an array of food and drink choices and will include two signature bars. Access to the club is attained through an annual membership-based fee included as an option when purchasing season tickets. The club will be available for private events on non-game nights, as it was designed to be used as a meeting space (Clippers).

A CALL FOR CLARITY: Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval yesterday "called for clarity in determining traffic congestion and the cost of road improvements" in Las Vegas for the proposed 65,000-seat domed Raiders football stadium. In Las Vegas, Art Marroquin notes Sandoval's request comes "just before a Thursday meeting of the Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee, which is expected to recommend a stadium site to Sandoval." Sandoval, who serves as Chair of the Nevada DOT, "acknowledged that the stadium developers’ plan calls for setting aside" $375M to "purchase the land and pay for infrastructure and site improvements" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 9/13).

SURVEY SAYS: In Edmonton, Keith Gerein writes locals in a new poll think the city’s municipal government should "take over responsibility for running the facilities" at Northlands Coliseum, formerly Rexall Place. The poll also found "substantial support for converting part of the site into a festival and concert venue." Fifty-seven percent of respondents to the 817-person Mainstreet Research-Postmedia survey said that the city "should assume management of the Northlands facilities and lands." That compares with 34% who said that Northlands "should continue in control," and 9% who were undecided (EDMONTON JOURNAL, 9/13).
