DraftKings Debuting New App Meant To Be Game-Day Companion To NFL Games

DraftKings today is debuting a mobile app, DK Live, that is designed to be a game-day companion to NFL games. The product features a variety of real-time scoring updates, player news, tracking of games in progress, and customization to users’ individual fantasy lineups. DraftKings CEO & co-Founder Jason Robins is slated to unveil the new app at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference in S.F. today. “The idea is to create sort of a digital Red Zone,” said DraftKings VP/Content Corey Gottlieb. “The main DraftKings app is primarily set up for drafting and creating your lineups, and we felt there needed to be a similarly great experience for following the games. The goal is [to] take greater ownership of more of the entire game lifecycle, and pool a lot of information that fans are seeking on gameday into a single product.” The DK Live app was designed largely in-house by DraftKings, with data and content supplied by a variety of providers including Stats LLC, Rotowire, Fantasy Labs, among many others, along with aggregation from public sources such as Twitter. DK Live is designed to work regardless of whether a user is participating in a DraftKings game.
