The BMW Dallas Marathon named former Disney Wide World of Sports Dir of Sports PAUL LAMBERT President, replacing PATRICK BYLERLY, who last spring became Competitor Group Senior VP/Global Affairs. While with Disney, Lambert "directed the runDisney race program expansion from one event in Orlando in 2004 to 10 major race weekends in Orlando and Anaheim before leaving" in '14 (DALLASNEWS.com, 9/6).

EXECS: Showtime promoted VP/Sports Communications CHRIS DEBLASIO to Senior VP/Sports Communications (Showtime)....Suns VP/Digital & Brand Strategy JERAMIE MCPEEK is leaving the club at the end of the month to focus on "expanding his social media consulting business." McPeek joined the club in '92 as an intern. Suns Digital Manager GREG ESPOSITO also left the club in March (BIZJOURNALS.com, 9/6)....Richmond Int'l Raceway named BRENT GAMBILL Dir of Communications. Gambill previously served as SiriusXM Exec Producer of Sports Programming (RIR)....The Double-A Texas League named former Astros GM TIM PURPURA President, Purpura also had a stint as Rangers Senior Dir of Player Development (Texas League) Purpura will replace TOM KAYSER, who is "retiring after 25 years in the position" (DALLASNEWS.com, 9/6)....The MLB Rangers named Senior Dir of Media Sales WADE HOWELL GM of the club's soon-to-be-named Single-A Carolina League franchise in Kinston, N.C. (Rangers)....The Aspire Group promoted ZOE COHEN to Team Leader of Women's Sports Specialist (Army), SOLOMON RANDLE to Senior Sales Consultant (Louisiana Tech) and BRYAN SIX to Senior New Business Consultant (Maryland). The ticketing outfit also named CHRISTOPHER OWENS and AUBREY BROOKS Sales Consultants (FAU), while JARRED LATTA and DREW WHITAKER were named New Business Consultants (Kansas) (THE DAILY).
