Filmmaker Comes Out With "Moneyball Too" Documentary On TWC SportsNet LA Impasse

Filmmaker Tom Wilson has "made a documentary" about the Time Warner Cable SportsNet LA impasse titled "Moneyball Too," which is available to screen online for free until 9:00pm PT tonight, according to Chris Erskine of the L.A. TIMES. Wilson like many Dodgers fans is "fed up" with the blackout. The documentary features a "timeline of the deal" and raises some "interesting, and heavily editorialized, points." But overall Wilson "makes a pretty good case." The "most troubling" part of the documentary is when Wilson "introduces an interesting little wrinkle in this entire issue: By failing to execute this massive TV deal, the Dodgers and TWC have exposed a tepid TV interest in the game that jeopardizes other pending" RSN negotiations (L.A. TIMES, 4/28).
