USATF Moving Free Streaming Platform To Subscription Service Ahead Of Drake Relays

Track and field fans will now have to pay for live coverage of domestic track meets on USATF.tv, effective today. The USATF is switching its free streaming platform to a subscription model, betting fans online are willing to pay for additional coverage and improved production quality. The subscription product, dubbed +PLUS, will cost $8.33 per month and include all events except for those airing live on NBCSN. Pricing takes effect with the coverage of this week’s Drake Relays presented by Hyvee. A subscription will also include access to more than 70 other live events, archives and original series owned by RunnerSpace, USATF’s tech partner. Discounts are available to USATF members, and current subscribers of RunnerSpace’s existing +PLUS offering will get access to USATF.tv included. USATF.tv launched as a free service in '13. RunnerSpace CEO Ross Krempley said this expansion had been the long-term goal since then.
