Turner and WME-IMG have appointed MIN-SIK KO as Commissioner and CHRISTINA ALEJANDRE as VP & GM of the new ELEAGUE. Ko will lead the e-sports league's development and oversee team and business relations, and Alejandre will handle operations, content and program strategy. Alejandre will report to Turner Sports Exec VP CRAIG BARRY. Previously, Ko was an agent in charge of gaming and e-sports at WME-IMG after the agency acquired his company, Global eSports Management. Alejandre most recently was a consultant for the Electronic Sports League (Ben Fischer, Staff Writer).

EXECS: The WNBA Atlanta Dream named former Georgia Tech Associate AD and Senior Woman Administrator THERESA WENZEL President, replacing ANGELA TAYLOR, "who was dismissed after a two-year term" (AJC.com, 3/2)....NYRA named ROBERT SICA VP/Security. Sica "comes to NYRA after working 31 years for the U.S. Secret Service, most recently as the special agent in charge of the New York Field Office." He replaces GEORGE VENIZELOS, who left NYRA last month (DRF.com, 3/2)....The Fiesta Bowl BOD named Global Marketing Services Founder & CEO MICHAEL HECOMOVICH Chair. He has served on the BOD since '09 (BIZJOURNALS.com, 3/2)....The NHL Kings promoted BROOKLYN BOYARS to Senior Dir of Game Presentation & Events and GABBY FARRELL to Rink Account Exec. The team also named XEN GIKAS Event Account Exec for Hockey Development (THE DAILY)....The Univ. of Texas-San Antonio promoted assistant football coach TONY JEFFERY to Assistant AD/Football, where he will "oversee the team's NCAA compliance" (STATESMAN.com, 3/2).
