Executive Transactions

In Orlando, Paul Tenorio reports Orlando City SC COO BRETT LASHBROOK "has resigned." Sources said that Lashbrook's resignation was "directly related" to Orlando City Owner FLAVIO AUGUSTO DA SILVA "opting to restructure the front office after the hiring" CEO ALEX LEITAO in January.  Lashbrook's last day with the franchise will be May 1. Lashbrook joined Orlando City in '13 and "was a key figure in helping secure Orlando’s bid to join" MLS. As the former MLS legal counsel and special assistant to MLS Commissioner DON GARBER, Lashbrook "was one of the lone figures in Orlando City’s front office with experience and background in the league." Lashbrook was a "crucial part of securing a stadium deal." Reasons for Lashbrook's departure are "not immediately clear" (ORLANDOSENTINEL.com, 4/23).
