Root Sports Southwest named former Penguins Senior VP/Sales & Service David Peart GM, where he will oversee day-to-day management of the Houston-based RSN. He starts March 2 and will report to DirecTV Sports Networks President Patrick Crumb. The RSN holds the rights to the Astros and Rockets, and does programming around the Univ. of Houston, Rice Univ. and the Mountain West Conference. Sources earlier this month said that
