Sports Marketing Vet Jenny Storms Shifts Role At PepsiCo Amid Ongoing Reorganization

JENNIFER STORMS, who headed Gatorade sports marketing as Senior VP/Sports Marketing for the past two years, has had her role and title shifted by parent PepsiCo as part of an ongoing marketing reorganization that has also seen the company's CMO and head of sports marketing exit in recent weeks. Storms is now Senior VP/Global Sports Marketing, PepsiCo Beverages America. In her new role, Storms will focus on beverages, and according to a written statement, "lead a global team responsible for developing the domestic and international marketing strategy, including leading key negotiations of PepsiCo's global sports assets." The statement went on to say that PepsiCo created the new global sports marketing team "in order to better identify and leverage opportunities with league, team, club, franchise, and athlete contracts and deals, bringing to bear the full weight of PepsiCo's food and beverage assets, both domestically and around the world." Storms will report to BRAD JAKEMAN, President of Global Enjoyment & Chief Creative Officer. A Pepsi spokesperson said that Storms' replacement at Gatorade was to be determined, adding that were no current plans to replace former Pepsi sports chief JEFF DUBIEL, who left in June after 13 years with the company.
