PERDUE NAMED PRESIDENT OF REEBOK BRANDS, FIREMAN REMAINS

Reebok has named DAVID PERDUE as President of the
Reebok brand, and he will report directly to Reebok Chair &
CEO PAUL FIREMAN, who was serving as brand President.
Perdue joined Reebok in September '98 as Senior VP/Global
Operations and was most recently serving as Exec VP.
Fireman will continue his role as Chair & CEO of Reebok,
which includes the Reebok, Rockport, Ralph Lauren Footwear
and Greg Norman Collection brands (Reebok). Perdue said
that Reebok "will keep its focus on designing products and
building stronger relationships with retailers." Fireman
said that other execs, including CMO ANGEL MARTINEZ "were
considered for the post," but Perdue's skills were "more
attuned" to the job (BOSTON HERALD, 12/16). Perdue: "2000
has been a turnaround year. We're meeting our numbers. And
there is excitement again" (BOSTON GLOBE, 12/16).
