REECE SAYS TIME WAS RIGHT IN CAREER FOR PLAYBOY PICTORIAL

Gabrielle Reece said on the "Last Word" on Friday that
one of the reasons she posed nude in Playboy was because she
was not "connected to any company where I'd put them in a
weird position." Reece, on whether she would put her
relationships with companies at risk by posing nude: "You
can't say you don't care, because you do care what they
think. But you are making decisions on what's best for you.
Nike makes decisions on what is best for Nike. Me, as a
person, and me ... as a brand, has to make decisions on what
is best for me." Reece said "the upside is bigger than the
risk" by posing in Playboy. Reece: "I've sort of taken
myself out of circulation. But, in the meantime, there's
other things that I want to be working on. Like, I'm
writing a fitness book and doing videos in conjunction with
that, and unfortunately, I have to make business decisions
that keep doors opening that I can make the choices.
Instead of the work being given to me, I can create the
opportunities that I want to create" ("Last Word," 12/8).
