MARKETPLACE ROUND-UP

          BLOOMBERG's Kim Chipman reported that CBS is "expected
     to sell more than" $200M worth of advertising for Super Bowl
     XXXV.  The more than $200M include revenue from both CBS and
     its O&Os. The network has sold about 80% of its available ad
     spots for the game (BLOOMBERG, 11/28)....In Albany, Pete
     Dougherty examines the new marketing strategy of the PBA
     Tour and writes, "The players are promoted more heavily,
     through the Web site and with a poster of top pros sent to
     more than 2,400 bowling centers around the country" (Albany
     TIMES UNION, 11/29)....The Big South renewed its sponsorship
     agreement making Oldsmobile the official vehicle of the Big
     South (Big South)....Palm was the primary sponsor of last
     night's live video Webcast by Dolphins DB Sam Madison, as he
     used a Palm to show the team's defensive strategy used
     against the Colts this past Sunday. The Web cast was seen on
     www.smadison.com (THE DAILY)...During last night's broadcast
     of TBS' Pacers-Lakers game, contestant Louie Gill advanced
     to the finals of the "TBS/TNT Million Dollar Shot Presented
     By Budget Rent-A-Car."  Gill missed a $500,000 half-court
     shot.  TBS' John Thompson: "This money is as safe as if it
     was in Fort Knox, even at these distances" (TBS, 11/28).
