NBA SHOWS SOME MOBIL-ITY: INKS TELECOM PARTNER IN GERMANY

          The NBA and T-Mobil, the mobile communications
     subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG, inked a multi-year
     marketing partnership making T-Mobil the league's first
     country-specific sponsor in Germany.  The deal is an
     expansion of T-Mobil's two-year event sponsorship of the T-
     D1 NBA Basketball Challenge, a grassroots, outdoor event.
     Under the deal, Deutsche Telekom receives exclusive rights
     in Germany in the local and long-distance categories, and T-
     Mobil receives exclusivity in the mobile services category. 
     Additionally, both brands get rights to use league and team
     logos, footage and photos in ads and promos.  T-Mobil will
     also run ads on NBA programming in Germany (NBA).
