          MD-based Mammoth Sports Group filed for Chapter 11
     bankruptcy on September 22, a "week after a group of
     creditors with claims totaling six figures filed an
     involuntary bankruptcy petition against" the company.  One
     who is not "seeking remuneration" is Greg Norman, whose
     relationship with Mammoth "ended amicably several months
     ago" (GOLF WORLD BUSINESS, 9/25)....USA TODAY's Chris
     Jenkins examines the role of wireless technology in F1
     racing and writes that it "helps race organizers keep track
     of cars and allows them to collect real-time data during the
     race."  Swiss watch company TAG-Heuer and Sun Microsystems
     are among the technology suppliers to the sport (USA TODAY,
     9/26)....The SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL's Andy Bernstein reports
     that Nortel Networks has "signed on for another year" as
     presenting sponsor of the NHL All-Star Weekend and All-Star
     Game, to be played at the Pepsi Center in Denver February 4
     (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 9/25 issue)....BRANDWEEK's Terry
     Lefton reports that Duke Univ. men's basketball coach Mike
     Krzyzewski has signed an endorsement deal "to pitch" ESPN's
     "Full Court" college basketball pay TV package for DirecTV. 
     Krzyzewski has cut two promo spots (BRANDWEEK, 9/25 issue).
