NBC'S OLYMPIC MONITOR: THE DAILY PRESENTS FOUR NIGHT TREND

          NBC's 7:00pm-12:00am ET broadcast of the Sydney Games
     on Wednesday night featured a total of 34:37 (16.8%) of
     studio reports, 20:57 (10.2%) of athlete profiles/features
     and 2:30:30 (73.0%) of event competition.  The broadcast
     also included seven on-air promos for NBCOlympics.com.  From
     7:00-8:00pm, NBC had 7:45 of studio reports, 3:23 of
     profiles/features, 35:10 of competition and two
     NBCOlympics.com promos; from 8:00-9:00pm, NBC had 5:48 of
     studio reports, 5:34 of profiles/features, 28:02 of
     competition and two NBCOlympics.com promos; from 9:00-
     10:00pm, NBC had 10:08 of studio reports, 4:56 of
     profiles/features, 24:31 of competition and one
     NBCOlympics.com promo; from 10:00-11:00, NBC had 5:15 of
     studio reports, 7:04 of profiles/features, 34:10 of
     competition and one NBCOlympics.com promo; and from 11:00-
     12:00am, NBC had 5:41 of studio reports, 0:00 of
     profiles/features, 28:37 of competition and one
     NBCOlympics.com promo (THE DAILY).
          SUNDAY-WEDNESDAY TREND: The following presents a
     breakdown of NBC 7:00pm-12:00am Olympic coverage from Sunday
     night through Wednesday evening (THE DAILY):
